On the 26th-27th of October the Nordic Centre is proud to host the international workshop 'Exotic Transitions in ions (ExTra)', held by Baoren Wei, Tomas Brage and Roger Hutton.
Exotic processes are important in diagnostics of e.g. plasma, but also as probes of our theoretical models for different ions. They are often associated with long-lived ionic states, which require new and innovative experimental techniques, or are unexpected from standard models, which require a thorough theoretical investigation. This workshop is intended to be a meeting place for different researchers in the very diverse field of Exotic Transitions.
Topics of interest
Hyperfine induced and magnetic-field induced transitions. Long-lived states in ions. Transitions in negative ions, Forbidden and unexpected transitions. Atomic/nuclear interface.
